Capt. W. H. Coombs,
The Navigators' & Engineer Officers' Union,
23, Leadenhall Street, E.C.3.
Dear Capt. Coombs,
Spanish Seamen.
I am enclosing copy of a letter which is being sent out to Unions affiliated to the International Transportworkers' Federation.
When the previous appeal was made, although your Union was not affiliated to the I.T.F., we did receive a sum of £20 from the International Mercantile Marine Officers' Association.
We should be grateful if it were possible for them again to render assistance as on the previous occasion in order to get us over the immediate financial difficulty we have in regard to the maintenance of Spanish seamen in this country, many of whom are officers.
Yours sincerely,
General Secretary.
