Transcript	International WMC/EAB/DB/105 Mr. L. Evans, The Iron and Steel Trades Confederation, Swinton House, 324, Gray's Inn Road, London W.C.1. 19th May 1939 Dear Mr. Evans, SENOR W. CARRILLO. Further to our correspondence regarding Comrade W. Carrillo and the possibility of arrangements being made for him to join his family in Spain. From enquiries we have made in France it now appears to be quite impossible to arrange for him to be issued with a French permit to reside in that country. In the circumstances we are proposing to approach the British authorities with a view to bringing Comrade Carillo's two young children to this Country. As soon as we hear from the British authorities, we will write you again. Yours sincerely, General Secretary.
