Dear Sirs,
We have to inform you that shipment has duly been effected by the s.s. C.W.S. PROGRESS, from Garston to Rouen, of the Boots and Shoes delivered against your appeal for Spanish refugees in France. The consignment comprised 64 packages.
As already indicated, the original Bill of Lading has been sent to our Rouen Depot, and stamped copy to Mr. W. Schevenels, Paris. We have no doubt that the consignment will now be cleared satisfactorily.
Our invoice for freight is attached hereto, and meanwhile, we remain,
Yours faithfully,
E. Winstanley
Export Department.
