Foreign Office,

15th June, 1939.
Dear Sir Walter,
You will remember that you wrote to me some while ago about the wife and three daughters of Señor Pascual Tomas who were thought to be in hiding in Alicante.
We have now heard from our Consul at Valencia that he has been able to visit Dona Carmen Belloque Amargos at 24 Barrio Obrero de Ramon de Castro, Valencia, where she and her three daughters are living in hiding. They were all well.
Dona Carman said that she had sent several letters to her husband at an address in Toulouse and had received several from him, although he had not acknowledged in these the receipt of any of her letters. Our
Sir Walter Citrine, K.B.E.
