Dear Mr. Tewson,
Clothing for Refugees.
The clothing which we have received up to date in response to the appeal has now been prepared in bales ready for despatch. There are 13 bales in all, each occupying roughly, 1 yard cubic space.
I attach a list in duplicate showing the contents of each bale. According to a rough estimate, the weight will be approximately 1¼ tons.
We have not exhausted our efforts and anticipate receiving a further quantity of clothing within the next week.
In accordance with understanding, the goods are being despatched so as to be delivered at the Cockleshell Siding, Garston, Liverpool (order of C.W.S.Ltd.) Saturday morning, each being numbered and addressed as follows:-
FEDERATION SYNDICALE INTERNATIONALE, ROUEN.
Yours sincerely,
A. Conley.
