Dear Sir Walter Citrine,
I am enclosing herewith for your interest some short excerpts from a speech recently broadcast from Barcelona by His Excellency, the President of the Basque Government, Senor Don Jose A. de Aguirre. They provide a clear expression of Basque policy and amplify a number of the points I touched upon when we met.
Of particular interest, perhaps, are his remarks on the Government's safekeeping of Basques' shares and securities, on the position of the Church, and on the attitude of our people regarding the future.
I am looking forward to meeting you again.
yours sincerely
Jose I. de Lizaso
