Dear Sir Walter Citrine I have just received some further information regarding military and other activities in Spain, which has been obtained from reliable sources. A full report has already been sent to the Foreign Office, and I enclose herewith some unofficial notes for your interest. I have been advised that it would be injudicious for me to issue a communique on the subject at the present time, but, nevertheless, I should be happy for you to use the information in any way you think fit.
