SUMMARY OF LETTER FROM SPANISH U.G.T. dated 3rd DECEMBER, 1938.
The letter opens by stating that the U.G.T. Executive Commission has received full reports from Comrade José Rodríguez VEGA of the conversations with representatives of the General Council at various meetings.
It expresses its deepest thanks for the reception given to Vega and for the aid and solidarity afforded by the Council to the cause of the Spanish people.
It signifies its gratitude for the Council's stand against the granting of belligerent rights to Franco.
It has every confidence that the Council will continue its energetic stand in defence of Spain's cause, which is the cause of the independence and liberty of all the nations.
It hopes that the unity of the Spanish people will earn the Council's support by urgent and energetic measures.
