Dear Friend,
The initiative Committee of the international conference, that will be held on December 11th and 12th 1937, has pleasure in inviting your organisation to support this Conference and if possible to send delegates, at the Conference will be studied the question of the fascist intervention in Spain, and above all the italian aggression against the Spanish people. This intervention has caused in Italy a very serious situation. This conference will give details of the opposition of the Italian working class to the aggression, the repression of the  working class which followed and the new measures, more rigorous than ever, that have been taken against prisoners and deportees; it will also show the new measures of repression that have been taken against the  whole population through laws enforcing the militarisation of the factories etc.,
This situation has also had  repercussions abroad. The terrorist acts committed by agents of fascism have increased the difficulties of political refugees and created an atmosphere of suspicion around them for instance at Bagnoles de l'Orne  and at Tunis.
We are making an appeal to men and women of every opinion to support this conference and we are sure that it must have a vital interest for every friend of peace and liberty.
Our conference could not be complete without the support of organisations such as your own, that represent a great force in the life of your country,  We feel sure that you will give your support to the conference and we should be grateful for an early reply.
