Letter Conseil General
No. 57
To the Members of the Executive.
Dear Comrade Citrine,
We received to-day from the Spanish National Trade Union Centre (Union General de Trabajadores) a letter dated 20th November, in which they ask for the convocation of a special meeting of the IFTU General Council with, if possible, all international Trade Union and political organisations.
A few hours after the arrival of this letter,a telegram was received from Valencia asking for our reply to this request.
I am sending you herewith a copy of this letter and would ask you to let me have your views on the request of our Spanish comrades, bearing in mind that there has already been a joint meeting of the General Council of the IFTU and the LSI Executive and a joint meeting of the IFTU Executive and the LSI Bureau.
Yours fraternally,
G. Stolz,
Assistant Secretary,
Comrade W.M.Citrine,
