No. 110
Mr. H. Tewson,
Trades Union Congress General Council
London
Dear Comrade Tewson,
I sent you last night a cutting from a book, containing a passage about Jean Longuet for your biography of Longuet. As I heard, this book is exhausted by now, and I therefore would ask you to send me my cutting back. I saw Jean Longuet last night and he promised me to send you this morning his photograph and biography.
I also sent you a telegram saying: "Look for photos of Tomás and Longuet in Daily Herald and Reynolds' News IFTU Congress London. Stolz", thinking that you could find these photos in one of the said papers, which took, on the occasion of our London Congress, photos of many delegates, among them certainly of the Spanish delegation. It is extremely difficult to find the photo of Pascual Tomás. I could not find any, neither in our files nor in those of the Press Agency of the Spanish Ambassy. The Ambassy promised me to get into touch with Pascual Tomás by wire and to ask him to send his photo direct to London. I am sending you Tomás' biography which I received just now from the Ambassy.
I asked also Adler to send you some information about Longuet.
According to Comrade Citrine's desire, I will come over already Monday morning to your office in order to make arrangements for the Conference. I will bring along cardboard indicators for the various countries to be put on the tables.
Yours fraternally,
G. Stolz
Assistant Secretary.
PS. We are enclosing also translations of the text dictated by Mr. Bell on the phone to-day.
