MOTOR LORRIES AND TRUCKS FOR SPAIN 
Dear Friends,
The National Emergency Conference on Spain decided that one of the most vital needs of the Spanish Government was a far better system of road transport.
In the recent big offensive, the Fascist forces had a tremendous advantage in being able to move more quickly troops and supplies.
The Government has placed all vehicles, except those needed for vital services, under central military command, but the number available falls far short of requirements.
The best way to give practical help in smashing Fascism in Spain is by sending motor lorries and trucks.
In support of the decisions of the National Emergency Conference on Spain, our Committee have decided to raise a special fund for this purpose. We are in a position to make very favourable arrangements for purchase, and where organisations decide to raise sufficient to purchase a lorry in their own name we will help with advice and arrange transport.
The lorries can be used on the outward journey to transport food in co-operation with the Youth Foodship Committee and similar relief funds.
We appeal to all to send donations at once, to allow the first lorries to make a demonstrative departure for Spain, and to plan an intensive local campaign which will help to send further convoys at regular intervals.
