Labour raises 500,000 for Spain

              LABOUR RAISES £500,000 FOR SPAIN 
TOTAL contributions to the value of, approximately, £500,000, have been made by the International Trade Union and Labour Movement for the relief of the Spanish people through the International Solidarity Fund. This is a conservative estimate of the monetary value of the aid given by the International Solidarity Fund since the War began in Spain, from July, 1936, to December, 1938.
It does not include aid given through other channels than those of the International Solidarity Fund, by Trade Union and other Labour organisations in various countries, Great Britain among them, for such special services as they have organised and financed directly to provide for Spanish refugee children, expectant Spanish mothers and aged folk, as well as direct consignments of milk, food, clothing, medical supplies, and other relief activities.
