Dear Secretary,
FASCIST ATROCITIES IN SPAIN
Enclosed is copy of a new Pamphlet dealing with Fascist Atrocities in Spain. This record of massacre, murder and mutilation perpetrated by the Rebels in their attack upon the democratic liberties of the Spanish people makes tragic reading and should arouse a feeling of moral indignation in the hearts of all decent people. The pamphlet tells only part of the story of the cruelties inflicted upon the anti-Fascist population - upon men, women and children; but even so it is a grim warning of the ruthless methods that Fascism adopts in its efforts to enslave a people.
This pamphlet sells at one penny, and supplies may be obtained at the special rates set out on the attached Order Form.
NEW ZEALAND UNDER SOCIALISM
We send also a copy of another new Pamphlet which is a direct contrast to the former. This deals with the magnificent work of construction upon which the Labour Government in New Zealand is engaged, and it surveys the first year's work. It is a splendid record and one with which the rank and file of the Labour Movement in this country should make themselves fully acquainted. Moreover, it is a document of practical Socialist effort which should be brought to the notice of persons who are neither members nor supporters of the Labour Party, as an example of what can be done by a Labour Government possessing effective Parliamentary power.
''New Zealand under "Socialism" is also a penny pamphlet, with special rates for quantities.
Yours sincerely,
J.S. MIDDLETON,
Secretary.
