Many thanks for year letter of October 4, with regard to the above-named organisation.
The action of your Trades Council in leaving the communications which are sent to you lying on the table is appreciated. The event with which the communication you have now received purports to deal, is the decision of the French government to deport 150 persons to Algeria.
As you know, France offered asylum to a large number of Spaniards some 12 years ago. A group of them - about 180 - are regarded by the French authorities as having abused this hospitality by forming clandestine communist organisations.
