Dear Mr. Waring, "International Brigade Association and Friends of Republican Spain" I have had an enquiry from you on the note paper of the Bristol Borough Labour party enquiring about the status of the above-named organisation. I see the letter was not signed by you personally and I take it, therefore, that you make the enquiry in your capacity as Secretary of the Bristol Trades Council. The above Association is a Communist body and association with it is therefore not open to Trades Councils. I appreciate your action in making the enquiry.
