Mr. H.V. Tewson,
Assistant General Secretary,
Trades Union Congress,
Smith Square,
London, S.W.1.
Dear Mr. Tewson,
re International Brigade Members held prisoner in French Concentration Camps.
I enclose copy of a letter received from the Harrow Trades Council with reference to the above.
I will of course, place the correspondence before the Executive Committee of the London Trades Council at its next meeting, but would welcome any comments you may have to make and which, I am sure, will be helpful to the Council in reaching a decision.
I may add for your information, that there is no provision in the Rules of the London Trades Council for the making of grants to any Organisations so that that part of the letter will not be acceded to.
Yours sincerely,
Robert Willis,
Secretary
Encl.
