"SAVE THE BASQUE CHILDREN".
We greatly appreciate the offer made in your letter in regard to the above subject.
The final scheme has not yet been concluded, but there is a general opinion that it would be advisable in the early stages for the children to be kept together in homes and camps in order to minimize the great break which they will feel. It is possible that subsequently we shall desire to take advantage of the many kind offers which have been made, and we will certainly keep your letter on our records. If you carefully watch the columns of the "Daily Herald" you will see from time to time how the plans are progressing.
Again thanking you,
In order to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, some names within this file have been redacted. While we have made every effort to comply with the Act, there may be other named individuals within this file who are still living. We will remove any names immediately we are made aware that this is the case or if any offence is caused to living relatives.
