MINUTES OF THE JOINT EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT THE HOUSE OF COMMONS, LONDON, S.W.1. ON DECEMBER 14th, 1937.

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE: from Miss Arne and others were read.
2. MINUTES: The minutes of the meeting of November 16th were read and approved.
3. BUSINESS ARISING ON THE MINUTES:
Dr. Audrey Russell replying to a question from the Chairman, stated that she had not been able to investigate the death of the boy in a Roman Catholic Home at Newcastle. Mrs. Manning suggested that a letter had been received in the office from the boy's sister before his death. It was agreed that the Officers investigate the matter.
4. REPATRIATION.
Mr Garratt reported that after the last meeting agreed to accept a boat for December 14th, a list of children to fill it was prepared, but as it seemed that the boat had been postponed, a train was arranged for December 16th. Owing to the closing of the frontier, this had now been postponed to December 20th. The cost was being borne by this Committee but a reduction in railway fares had been obtained. Miss Rathbone asked why the Repatriation Committee should not pay for the train if they were not providing a boat. Captain Macnamara pointed out that the offer of a ship still
