MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE BASQUE CHILDREN'S COMMITTEE, HELD ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6TH, 1938, IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS, AT 5.0 P.M.

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE: Received from the Duchess of Atholl and Mr. Tewson, Lady Layton and Miss Rathbone.
2. REPORTS ON:
(a) Basque Children's Trust: Mr. Garratt reported that the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Basque Children's Trust were still with the Registrar, and that the Certificate of Incorporation was being granted that day.
(b) Administration Sub-Committee: Mr. Garratt reported that this Committee had met and made certain reductions in the office staff, which would effect economies.
(c) Conference, Saturday April 9th: Reported that 25-30 representatives of the centres and local committees had accepted the invitation to the Conference. Lord Listowel will preside.
(d) Concert: Announced that a Basque Children's Concert would be held on the afternoon of Friday, April 22nd. Various suggestions as to publicity for this concert were made.
(e) Roman Catholic Sub-Committee: Stated that Lady Layton was working on this, but that there was nothing to report as yet.
