1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE:  Received from Mr. David Thomson

2. MINUTES:   The Minutes of the meeting of December 14th, 1937, having been circulated, were agreed, subject to the deletion of the word "executive" in the heading, and signed.
3. BUSINESS ARISING ON THE MINUTES: None.
4 .    FINANCIAL POSITION.
(a)    Mr. Garratt reported that the balance at the Bank in respect of the Basque Children's Committee was about £800, and of the National Joint Committee, £2500.
Since the first of January funds have been coming in at the rate of about £ 900 per week, but this was the result of sustained and high pressure appeals. The average weekly expenditure of the Committee is about £800 per week, for 1,100 children.     It was decided that in order to capitalise the present situation a Press appeal should be made at once, and this will be done within a day or so.
