Dear Madam,
ADOPTION OF A CHILD.
I thank you for your letter of the 23rd instant stating that you wish to adopt an orphan girl. If you desire to adopt a refugee child I would suggest that you communicate either with the Secretary of the Basque Children's Committee, 4, Great Smith Street, London, S.W.1. , or with the World Movement for Care of Children Coming from Germany, Bloomsbury House, Bloomsbury Street, London, W.C.1.
On the other hand, if you desire to adopt an English girl I would advise you to get into touch with the National Adoption Society, 4, Baker Street, London, W.1.
Yours faithfully,
Assistant Secretary.
