Press communique : 21st meeting of the Committee

              INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE AGREEMENT REGARDING NON-INTERVENTION IN SPAIN.
Press Communiqué, 20th May, 1937.
The twenty-first meeting of the Committee was held at the Foreign Office to-day at 11 a.m.
2. The Committee received a report on the operation of the observation scheme in the period which had elapsed since the last plenary session, and the Committee took note that the scheme was operating smoothly and on the full scale contemplated, both by land and by sea.
3. The Committee had under consideration the draft of an appeal to be addressed to the two parties in Spain regarding the conduct of the present conflict.
After certain amendments had been incorporated in the draft, the Representatives on the Committee agreed that a special meeting should be held on Friday next, 28th May, 1937,  at 3.0 p.m. for the purpose of adopting an appeal to the two parties in Spain, so that in the meanwhile any Representative who so desired might have an opportunity of submitting the revised draft for the approval of his Government.
4. The Committee had before them a report by their Technical Advisory Sub-Committee containing a plan for the withdrawal from Spain of non-Spanish nationals, engaged either directly or indirectly in the present conflict.
The Representatives on the Committee agreed to submit this report to their respective Governments, with a request that they would inform the Committee as soon as possible whether the plan there put forward commended
