Very many thanks for your letter of the 27th instant. I regret that owing to the large number of meetings fixed during the weekend, including one at the Basque children's camp at Southampton, the request contained in your letter has not been noted until this morning.
We greatly appreciate the efforts which you are making in your district to secure funds and I sincerely hope that you are successful.
