Transcript	HVT/FC/EK/1031. Secretary's. 4th June, 1937. Mr. W.P. Earsman, Edinburgh and District Trades and Labour Council, 17, India Buildings, Victoria Street, EDINBURGH, 1. Dear Mr. Earsman, BASQUE CHILDREN. In reply to your letter of the 3rd June, the National Committee for the Care of Basque Children are making arrangements for centres for the children in different parts of the country. It has been decided that fifty is to be the minimum for each group as this number would permit of one teacher and one other adult to accompany the children. If a Town's Committee could be set up in your locality to take responsibility for the maintenance of a minimum of fifty children in a home this would be very greatly appreciated. The Basque Children's Committee are very keen to receive offers of assistance in this direction. Should you desire any further information on this matter please let us know.
