HVT/EK/1091.
Secretary's.
11th June, 1937.
Mr. A.E. Hobson,
Sheffield Trades and Labour Council,
Room 5,
Yorkshire Chambers,
Angel Street,
SHEFFIELD, 3.
Dear Mr. Hobson,
BASQUE CHILDREN.
I have your letter of the 9th June and am pleased to learn that you are attempting to secure a Conference for July 3rd.
In regard to your request for a speaker, I happen to be free on that date and will willingly come along as Vice Chairman of the National Committee for the Care of Basque Children.
July 3rd is rather a long way off in view of the urgency of the matter, and it will mean that your Committee will not have any very definite proposals until probably the middle of July. I suppose, however, that you have made all the necessary arrangements now.
Yours sincerely,
Assistant Secretary.
