Dear Mr. Walker,
"SAVE THE BASQUE CHILDREN"
I have your letter of the 9th instant referring to the standing of the National Joint Committee for Spanish Relief.
Nationally, the General Council declined to be represented on this body, but when the proposal was muted to bring Basque children to this country a special Committee called the National Committee for the Care of Basque Children was formed. The Committee is composed of representatives of the following organisations:
The Trades Union Congress,
The Labour Party,
The National Joint Committee for Spanish Relief, 
Save the Children Fund, 
The Friends,
The Spanish Medlcal Aid Committee.
I would suggest, therefore, that locally a Basque Children's Committee should be formed with a similar basis but to include as a local effort representatives of all religious and social organisations in the district. In this way efforts would
