Mr. A. Taylor,
The Roasendale Union of Boot, Shoe and Slipper Operatives,
7, Tenterfield Street,
Waterfoot,
ROSSENDALE.
Dear Mr. Taylor,
SHOES FOR THE BASQUE CHILDREN.
Many thanks for your letter of the 12th instant giving particulars of the sizes of 486 pairs of shoes which have been ordered.
I should be glad if you would convey to your Executive our keen appreciation of their interest and practical assistance.
I am wondering if you could give me some idea of the value of the goods ordered so that we may give your Union credit in terms of cash when reporting to the International Federation of Trade Unions the assistance which is being rendered in this country.
Again thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
Assistant Secretary.
