MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE BASQUE CHILDREN'S COMMITTEE HELD ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 10TH, 1939, AT WOMEN'S SERVICE HOUSE, 29 MARSHAM STREET, S.W.1. AT 6.15 P.M.

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE: Received from

2. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: The Minutes of the last meeting, having been circulated, were taken as read and signed.
3. MATTERS ARISING ON THE MINUTES:
a) Dr. Byloff's investigations - Dr. Betty Morgan read a letter from Dr. Byloff asking for the names of any Franco organisations with which we had been in touch with regard to repatriation so that she might approach them before starting her investigations. She hoped to begin this work at the end of January and thought she would be able to come to London to make a report. The Committee agreed that Dr. Byloff be referred to the Proteccion de Menores in Bilbao and to the Duke of Alba in this country. A copy of the letter written to her should be sent to the Duke of Alba.
b) Cabrils - The decision of the National Joint Committee to adopt the Cabrils home was communicated to the Committee.
4. MINUTES OF THE BASQUE ADMINISTRATIVE SUB-COMMITTEE :
The Minutes of the Basque Administrative Sub-Committee for the weeks from November 8th to December 13th, 1938, having been circulated, were taken as read and formally confirmed. The ruling that questions of principle should be decided in the Basque Children's Committee was reaffirmed.

6. REPORT OF BASQUE ADMINISTRATIVE SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING OF JANUARY 10TH, (Including Financial position at Margate):
