2. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING: The Minutes of the last meeting, having been circulated, were taken as read and signed.
3. MATTERS ARISING ON THE MINUTES :
a) Brighton - Dr. Morgan read a letter from Sr. Omegna who suggested keeping on the Brighton centre until the proposed new home for girls could be started. Under these ciruumstances, the Committee would be financially responsible for Girton House, but Sr. Omegna offered to start making appeals in the district. Mrs. Thornycroft had also written supporting Sr. Omegna's suggestion. Dr. Morgan said there were two points to consider in connection with this home. Girton House was now running very satisfactorily. On the other hand, the Committee had taken over the London Home on the understanding that the Brighton home was to be closed as soon as possible and that some of the boys should be transferred to London. Sr. Omegna had said he would be willing to send up about 12 boys. He would then have 15 or 16 smaller boys in his care. It was finally agreed to keep the Brighton Home open for the time being and to transfer some of the boys to London as necessary. Girton House might be used later to house any children who might come to this country from Spain. Mr. Fuller-Bryant offered to look into the terms of the lease and rates of the home.
b) Margate - Dr. Morgan reported that Mr. Watts had now been appointed House Secretary and that he seemed to be satisfactory. There was a possibility of sending Mr. Burden down to help in the organisation of games etc., for the children and to do a certain amount of work on the administrative side.
Mr. Walsh had said that Seres, Briones and Palombo were now co-operating in the work of the home.
