MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE BASQUE CHILDREN'S ADMINISTRATIVE SUB-COMMITTEE HELD ON TUESDAY, MARCH 14TH, 1939, AT 27 MARSHAM STREET, S.W.1. AT 5 P.M.

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE: Received from Mrs. Carritt
2. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING : The Minutes of the last meeting having been circulated, were taken as read and signed.
3. MATTERS ARISING ON THE MINUTES:
a) Bray Court - Dr. Morgan said that it had been arranged for Miss Walkerdine to go down to Bray to see Miss Hawes. Mr. Rickards stated that there was a possibility of a Norwegian lady coming to the home to act as assistant to Miss Hawes, but the Committee would be glad for Miss Walkerdine to go down to relieve staff needing free time. Dr. Morgan reported that Father Zubeldia was now in residence at Bray. The Committee felt, however, that it would still be necessary to invite Sr. Segurola to come over to help in the home.
Mr. Rickards stated that the Auditor had been through the Bray Court accounts with the Treasurer. Mr. Bass had not been present. He had, however, been asked to meet Mr. Rickards, the Treasurer and some members of the House Committee to explain certain discrepancies. These had not been satisfactorily explained. The Treasurer proposed to send out a circular to adoptive parents asking particulars of their subscriptions and it was thus hoped to make a check on these. Mr. Rickards said the financial position appeared altogether unsatisfactory. No further steps would, however, be taken in this matter until replies to the circular had been received.
b) Manuel Sanchez - There was some discussion as to the advisability of bringing Manuel Sanchez to England and it was finally decided that his case should be further investigated. Dr. Camps offered to get in touch with Mr. Siebert, Warden at Street, who knew the boy and his circumstances. Miss Garrett said she was hoping to get some of
