2. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING.
The minutes of the last meeting (March 20th) having been circulated were taken as read and signed.
3. MATTERS ARISING ON THE MINUTES.
Catholic Homes. Dr. Morgan reported that the children from the Convent at Carlisle had been transferred to the Worthing Centre.
4. MINUTES OF THE BASQUE SUB-COMMITTEE MEETINGS of March 28th, April 12th, April 18th, April 25th, May 2nd, May 9th, May 23rd, June 6th and June 13th, were formally confirmed.
5. MATTERS ARISING ON THE SUB-COMMITTEE MINUTES.
These were listed on the agenda.
6. FINANCIAL STATEMENT.
Dr. Morgan reported that the financial position was satisfactory - the current account now showed a balance in hand of £474 as against liabilities of £290, in addition to which the Committee was about to receive £600 from Birmingham on the closing of Elford Hall and £100 from the Watermillock Committee on the closing of that home. The National Joint Committee had also set aside a reserve fund of £2000 to cover repatriation expenses, and the weekly amount transferred from the office to the homes was now down to approximately £60.
