Dear Mr. Hughes, SAVE THE BASQUE CHILDREN FUND. Very many thanks for your letter of the 18th instant enclosing cheque, value £22.10.0., as a contribution to the above fund, our official receipt for which I have pleasure in enclosing herewith. I can assure you that the assistance which your Trades and Labour Council are rendering is very much appreciated. Please convey our best thanks to all concerned. I will write to you again in the course of a day or two in regard to the queries which you raise in your letter. Yours sincerely, Assistant Secretary. Receipt.
