I have your letter of the 28th instant in regard to the above matter and appreciate the points you set forth.
It is certainly rather confusing having so many funds in connection with Spanish relief, but so far as our own Movement is concerned the position would be simplified if local Parties and Trades Councils would deal only with the International Solidarity Fund.
In the case of a locality which is "adopting" Basque children the position is somewhat different and one can understand the desire of the Party in a locality to take a prominent part in any town's effort.
In regard to the monies which you already have in hand from your collections, it is entirely within the discretion of your Party to determine their destination, and whilst we are anxious for every
