I am enclosing herewith a copy of a letter which I have received from the Chief Constable in regard to the application made for a permit for you to hold a Flag Day. I am very surprised at the nature of his reply in view of the fact that he stated that he was prepared to grant a permit providing application was made. Yours sincerely, Assistant Secretary.
