Transcript	WMC/FEM/MT/1057 Secretary's 26th July, 1937. PERSONAL. Mr. W.G. Dimmick, Hants District Organiser, Amal. Union of Building Trade Workers, 445, Burgess Road, Swaythling, SOUTHAMPTON. Dear Mr. Dimmick, "SAVE THE BASQUE CHILDREN". Mr. George Hicks has told me of the misfortune you have had in breaking the back axle of your car when you were running the various officials of the Trade Union Movement to the Basque Camp at N. [North] Stoneham. I would like to take this opportunity to express appreciation of the ready way in which you helped with the very difficult task of looking after the children at the Basque Camp. In view of the exceptional strain you were put to, we do not want you to bear the cost of paying for repairs to the car, so I have pleasure in enclosing a cheque for 3 gns. to meet the bill. Perhaps you would be good enough to sign the enclosed form. Yours fraternally, General Secretary.
