Dear Secretary,
There are a number of very important things to which we have to draw your attention before Christmas in order that the greatest possible support may be raised for the Basque children and for Eastern Spain at this season - the children's festival.
1. Basque Children's Film
This film, called "Modern Orphans of the Storm", has been ready now for a month. Very few bookings have been received from cinemas. May we urge you to do everything you can to secure that it is booked for showing in the ordinary programmes at your local cinemas? We are attaching a model letter for you to use in writing to the manager.
The film is also available in 16 mm size for use at meetings. This can be obtained from Kino Films, Ltd., 84 Grays Inn Road, W.C.1.
2. Christmas Appeal
We are issuing a special Christmas appeal for the Basque children, of which copies will be sent to you as soon as they are printed. The finest possible Christmas present which the Basque childron could have is security until they are able to rejoin their mothers and fathers. May we urge you to make the
