Mr. A. de Gondra,

Dear Mr. de Gondra,
European Post-War Reconstruction
Many thanks for your letter of 19th January with the welcome news that your people here are helping in the war effort, in all the circumstances to their and your satisfaction.
I appreciate your Basque Trade Union's interest in the post-war reconstruction of Europe. It is a question to which a considerable amount of thought is being devoted and much ground remains to be covered. We ourselves are collaborating with the International Federation of Trade Unions as we believe the Trade Union Movement has a great contribution to make towards the preparation of the blue print of the new world.
I have had a word with the General Secretary of the International Mr. W. Schevenels, who will be very willing to meet your friends at some mutually convenient date ad time. May I suggest, therefore, in response to your request, that you ask your friends to write to Mr. Schevenels at this address.
