Dear Mr. Fawcett,
U.G.T. DELEGATION IN GREAT BRITAIN.
Thank you for your letter of the 22nd instant enclosing copy of a communication which you have received from the General Workers Union of Spain.
From time to time this body has addressed communications to affiliated Unions and to the General Council. From enquiries we made of the I.F.T.U. and the Trade Union Group of Spanish Workers in Gt. Britain it was learned that the U.G.T. Delegation in Gt. Britain is a Communist body. Consequently we have not replied to their communications. The body which is recognised by the T.U.C. and the I.F.T.U. is that to which I refer above, i.e., the Trade Union Group of Spanish Workers in Gt. Britain, the offices of which are in this building.
P.T.O.
