SPAIN CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE
A meeting of the above Committee was held in a Committee Room in the House of Commons on Monday, November 1, 1937, at 6.30 p.m.

1) CHAIRMAN
George Dallas was elected Chairman and took the Chair.
2 ) SECRETARIES
William Gillies and Miss Ellen Wilkinson were elected Joint Secretaries of the Committee.
3) MEETINGS AND APPEAL.
IT WAS AGREED
that a Campaign should be opened at the Free Trade Hall, Manchester, on November 14, 1937, the speakers being Joseph Henderson, M.P. (Chair), Sir Stafford Cripps, M.P., James Walker, M.P., and Miss Ellen Wilkinson, M.P.
IT WAS AGREED
that the Campaign should conclude with a Demonstration at the Albert Hall, London, on December 19, 1937.
It was Further AGREED
that National Demonstrations should be held during the intervening period at Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Leicester, Edinburgh and Cardiff or Swansea.
It was Further AGREED
that a political appeal should be made on the basis of the Resolutions of the National Council of Labour and the decisions of the Annual Conference at Bournemouth.
As regards Relief Funds, it was AGREED that an Appeal should be made for food, especially milk, for Republican Spain, to be purchased from the Co-operative Wholesale Society.
