I enclose certificate redrafted as desired.
The night I was in London I attended the S.M.A. [ Socialist Medical Association ] E.C. meeting with Dr. Chadwick of Manchester. We both were of the opinion the Harley St backing of full time M.D. for P.A.C. work is not to the best interests of Labour. Dr. Brook wrote to me he agrees with open panels, though he cannot commit the S.M.A. or L.C.C.
I hope you read my article in the Med. [ ] of Aug 16th & like to hear your criticism.
I note "the Catholic Worker" of this month has quoted the same extensively.
The M.O.H. of Manchester from a confidential report Dr. Chadwick showed me is definitely against full time M.O.H. for P.A.C. work.
