SPANISH MEDICAL AID COMMITTEE.
I have been asked by the Spanish Medical Aid Committee, as its Chairman, to communicate with you with regard to your kind letter of the 17th September last offering to provide a C.S.C.A. Ambulance for use in Spain in connection with the work we have done for rendering medical aid and services to the Spanish Government.  I have already been in touch with you, and am now placing the situation before you, so that you may be in a position to inform the Executive and Officers and your Members.
The Spanish Medical Aid Committee is very grateful to you indeed for the offer and we accept it with great pleasure and  joy.  At the moment, however, we are not sending any more Ambulances to Spain in view of the Spanish situation, but we are concentrating now on a very excellently equipped Mobile Surgical Unit. This Mobile Surgical Unit will be based on our new Hospital, and will have sufficient transport to enable a mobile column of surgeons and surgical equipment to be transported to any part of the fighting line where their presence is necessary.
Before your letter arrived another organisation had promised to supply us with the Auto-chir. This Auto-chir is the vehicle which has been equipped and modelled inside so as to hold the surgical equipment and sterilisers, etc.  But in addition to that another vehicle, almost exactly similar, to be known as the Auto-chir Conveyer, is being got ready, and its interior will be so equipped as to be able to take all the additional equipment, apart from surgical instruments, that may be necessary for facilitating the work of the mobile column.  The cost of the Auto-chir Conveyer would amount to a sum of just over £500,
