Dear Mr. Proctor,
I have been thinking hard over your letter of the 4th May last and trying to see whether I could fit myself in to be the judge at your Baby Show on the 23rd July, at your Garden Party. But I find that it will be quite impossible for me to do it, as I have to attend the B.M.A. Meeting round about that time, and I do not know whether I can get back to London to be able to keep such an appointment.
I hope you have a successful Garden Party with very good results.
Yours sincerely,
