Dr. Addison tells me that he has had a talk with you about the best means to be adopted to provide for the dependants of the British volunteers in the International Column in Spain. We were on the point of making an appeal to trade unions and other Labour organisations. Most of the men are of course members of a trade union. If the T.U.C. would interest itself in any way in this matter, this would be the happiest solution of a very anxious problem. I felt deeply grateful both to you and to Dr. Addison, when he told me that you would talk things over with me. May I call on you one day this week? I will do my best to suit your convenience.
