              SPANISH MEDICAL AID COMMITTEE
Minutes of meeting held at 24 New Oxford Street, W.C.1., on December 21st 1938.
Present: - Dr. H.B. Morgan (Chairman), Dr. J. Wright, Professor J.R. Marrack, Mr. R. Calder, Mr. T. Blewitt, Mrs. L. Manning, Mr. A. Peacock, Dr. H. Boyde, Mrs. I. Brown, Dr. J.A. Gillison, and Mr. G. Jeger.
1) Minutes of the previous meeting, held on the 14th December, were approved.
2) Matters arising:
a)   The Audit of our accounts.     Details of the item "Miscellaneous Office Expenses'' were given as follows:-

The Organising Secretary and the Treasurers would be meeting the Auditor after Christmas to prepare a statement of accounts for publication.
b) The Voluntary Industrial Aid. There was no further news of this, but it was agreed that the T.U.C. should be approached after a statement had been prepared and considered by the Committee.
c) It was decided that Mrs. Ayres be advised to take no action regarding her husband,
d) It was reported that the "Prince of Wales" was not available for the Reunion on January 19th, and it was accordingly suggested that new halls be tried and the matter be left in the hands of the Organising Secretary.
3) At this stage Dr. Bury and Nurses Slater and Robertson were interviewed on their return from Spain.   They had all been repatriated ( together with Nurses Briscoe and Finley ) with the wounded members of the British Battalion.     Dr. Bury gave an account of his work, and stated that in his opinion food was now more urgently needed than even medical supplies. The nurses stated that they would like to return to Spain if possible in about a month when the question of the withdrawal of volunteers will have been settled. They reported that they had not received parcels destined for them, and Mrs. Manning was asked to take up the matter with Miss Davson.
