TO MARK THE ANNIVERSARY OF ONE YEAR OF STRUGGLE AGAINST FASCIST WAR ON SPAIN
A UNITED DEMONSTRATION IN SUPPORT OF THE SPANISH PEOPLE'S GOVERNMENT
ONE   YEAR'S   FIGHT   FOR   DEMOCRACY   IN SPAIN
On July 18th, all over the world, the forces against Fascism and War will be holding Mass Demonstrations in support of the struggle of the Spanish People's Front Government against International Fascism. At this time, on the anniversary of the outbreak of the revolt, it is essential that the greatest pressure should be brought to bear to secure the right, of the Spanish Government to purchase arms for its own defence.
With this end in view a big demonstration is being held in Trafalgar Square at 3 p.m. on Sunday July 18th.
The speakers will include:-
Prof. J. B. S. Haldane Hilda Vernon Leah Manning Isabel Brown Harry Adams
and representatives from the various organisations and committees supporting Spain.
There will be speakers who have fought with the International Brigade.
The collection will be taken for the wounded and dependents of the gallant fighters of the International Brigade.
We would like you personally or through your organisation to get subscriptions for this object and hand them up at the meeting so that we can make a material as well as a political demonstration in favour of Spanish Democracy.
