Dear Sir,
On the 4th of this month information was conveyed to us that our [boy] eldest son aged 20 was killed in Spain fighting for the International Brigade, and I need hardly tell you how this information has seriously effected this family. He was the eldest of six children four of whom are under fourteen and when he left home he allowed his mother 30/- per week for housekeeping purposes. The loss of this income was severely felt in the home and I brought this position to the notice of the Spanish Dependants' Aid Committee in May who replied to the effect that they were not in a position to assist new cases I view of this information we could do nothing at the same time it was extremely sad for us to know that the Trade Union Movement and
