Mr. Middleton Suggested that one or two members should be deputed to go to Paris to learn the French position and report bach on the Wednesday evening.
As the adjournment had been moved, the Chairman put that to the meeting and the amendments fell. 27 voted for the adjournment, 13 against. The adjournment was therefore CARRIED, until the following Wednesday evening, 9th September,
Mr. Clynes moved that the joint meeting take place at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, 9th September,
Mr. Grenfell moved 4.30 p.m.
A vote was taken, 16 voted for 4.30 pm 17 for 8 o'clock. Eight o'clock was therefore carried.
